We unite evidence and action, connect questions with answers, and create alliances to address them collaboratively.

The members of our community include educators, school administrators, researchers, policymakers, professionals involved in the educational field (such as psychopedagogues, educational psychologists, social workers, etc.), organizations, and funders.

How to connect evidence and action is a question that has troubled us for a long time. We sensed that something was wrong in this relationship: the gap between school and university remains unchanged or even deepens - professional and scientific knowledge seem to follow parallel paths without points of connection.

It’s not that there hadn’t been previous attempts to connect the scientific field with the professional one. However, these efforts tended to be one-sided, where researchers positioned themselves as experts dictating guidelines for teachers to follow. This approach turned out to be a complete failure, as it only served to exacerbate the existing gap. The professional knowledge acquired year after year did not interconnect in meaningful dialogues with the scientific community, which meant that "learning" was limited to the training period and everything returned to normal once it was over.

It could also be the case that some professionals simply accepted the "knowledge of researchers" passively, taking notes and replicating everything exactly in their classrooms or workplaces. This, of course, also resulted in an obvious failure. We have learned from these failed experiences. Our development proposals are designed to create communities of professionals who are critical consumers and creative producers of evidence in action.
